Crystal Palace hope to tie up a deal for former West Brom winger JEROME THOMAS in the coming days.
THOMAS has been let go by the Baggies after failing to establish himself in the first 11 under manager Steve Clarke last season.
The 30-year-old's agent Tony Finnigan says THOMAS is keen on joining the Eagles and making a return to South London where he enjoyed a successful time with Charlton.
"We're looking for everything to go through on time for him to sign on July 1," Finnigan told the Croydon Advertiser. "Talks are ongoing but they're positive.
"As long as everything is put together, he'll be signing on July 1. We haven't concluded how long the deal is for as JEROME has got to come and meet everyone at the club.
"He's spoken to Ian Holloway. Talks went well in terms of the football and what he was looking for him to do, and he's been an admirer of him for a long time.
"There were around ten teams interested and there was one other Premier League club but we won't be doing that now because we want to pursue Palace."
